On PC one is the Default Context, the other is the Classic Context. I should mention, there are two layouts on Xbox one. IDK, I'm using an Xbone controller and it all works exactly the same for me. The only thing I'm wondering is whether any of you are actually using an Xbox one controller, maybe this doesn't work the same if you plug in a 360 controller.
Press and hold ABXY and the onscreen graphic pops up and shows you the additional buttons you can press. You now have the same controls as Xbox one layout. Plug in the controller, launch the game, select default context, click apply. I've even just done it again now to make sure I'm not the person spreading crap information, and I'm not. I've already told you all how to get EXACTLY the same configuration on PC as on Xbox one, it even does the graphic popup overlay when you press and hold one of the ABXY buttons. See if that resolves the much wrong information here my head hurts. Then, unplug your controller, and plug it back in (with the headset connected). Do the same thing, right-click and Uninstall.
Xbox One Controller should be listed here. If it isn't, right click it, and Uninstall device.
See if Xbox Controller is listed there, and if it is, check that it's not disabled (it would have a small down arrow). Look under Sound, video, and game controllers. If it does show up here, make sure it is set as the default device.įailing that, right-click Start button (or press Windows+X) > Device Manager
Just to be clear, when you say it's not picking up, are you looking in Control Panel > Sound > Playback? And it's not listed there? Be sure to right-click the background here, show disabled and disconnected devices, just to be sure. Alright, seems like your controller and headset are fine then.įirst up, have you restarted the PC? Probably an obvious answer, but sometimes it gets forgotten.
